“Fore the Kids” Golf Tournament
Our amazing team of volunteers numbers over 35, but we’re always looking to grow! Team members possess a variety of gifts and talents that when brought together, help to host successful fundraising events like our annual “Fore The Kids” Golf Tournament, The Gun Raffle Extravaganza, and our very fun Wine & Dine Tasting Event. Volunteer team members help bring on new members, design and produce our fundraising events, and participate in shifts, bidding on animals during the Jr. Livestock Auction. We also host several social gathering events throughout each year to fellowship and meet new members coming on board. We’d like you to consider joining our team!
Gun Raffle Extrazaganza
“BBG” began in San Antonio, Texas back in 2015 when a small group of folks, passionate about helping support the youth of our ag and ranching culture, gathered to become part of a 501(c)3 non-profit organization called Light Shine Ministries. We supported our first youth at the 2016, S.A.L.E. Jr. Livestock Auction by sharing over $9,300 across 29 different kids. Since then, BBG supports over 40 youth at each auction and has more than tripled its annual fundraising dollars. In 2020, BBG attained the Silver Buyer Level and became a Gold Level Buyer in 2022! Our goal is to become one of the largest auction “buyers” at the San Antonio Livestock Exposition, Jr. Livestock Auction! You can help us succeed!
Wine & Dine Tasting Event
The mission is to financially support youth that make the sale at the San Antonio Livestock Exposition, Jr. Livestock Auction, who will not bring in the “big money” during the auction of their animal. We strive to identify and “add on” to auction bids for these hardworking youth that will struggle to break even, much less profit. This “add on” money allows youth to continue raising animals throughout their high school years and to save money for college. In addition, each youth we support receives a special gift bag containing a Bible, personal note, and other items all meant to provide spiritual encouragement. Our message is, “You don’t have to be a Grand Champion in the world’s eyes to be a Grand Champion in God’s eyes!”
